Joe and Sandra Quinn have lived in southeast Alaska since 1987. They have worked as educators all over the state of Alaska and chose Pelican as their home. Joe is captain of the Eskimo, a Catamaran-style Baha Cruiser that combines speed and a smooth ride for comfort and convenience. Sandra's home-cooked meals are legendary.

Pelican Joe's is a short walk, golf cart drive, or skiff ride from the main town. Guests can enjoy watching the sunset from the porch after a delicious meal prepared from the day's catch. Bald eagles often perch on the nearby trees and rocks. Pods of Orca and whales can be seen making their way up the inlet to feed. Those who still want to fish at the end of the day can cast for rock fish out front.

We are a small operation, BUT, that does not mean in any way that you will have a second rate experience. We will take personal care of your group, help you with scheduling your travel on Alaska Seaplanes, meet you at the dock, fillet/package your fish, make sure your frozen fish gets back to Juneau and stored in Alaska Seaplane's freezer until you leave Juneau AND fix you incredible meals to enjoy.

You may go on fully guided charters on the Eskimo (29' Baha Cruiser) which is a cat-hull and extremely preferable to fish from. If you choose to go out in the 21' Duckworth, it is NOT bare boat. It has down riggers and electronics. Our places are newly renovated, with remodeled bathrooms and new beds.

Feel free to email or call to request more information.

"Great food and accommodations with a sunset view. Fishing/touring is a pleasure in the 29 foot Baha Cruiser."
